Busy bee...Detroit, here we come!!!
Well things have certainly been buzzing around the hive lately.
Post-Seahawks win on Saturday, I proceeded to busy myself for a good 3 hours before heading to Chelsie & C-A's birthday gathering at Corliss, then going to Margie's for her 22nd.
For the girls, I decided to get them gifts from a nice little place called The Erotic Bakery. Phallic cupcakes all around! The older ladies got theirs with a little extra...icing...on 'em. They also were the (proud?) recipients of breast and cock shaped ice cube trays. Which apparently can also be used for jell-o shot molds...according to the proprietor at the EB.
Margie got an edible cocklace instead of an ice cube tray. You know, like those candy necklaces...only shaped like phalli (is that right?...phalluses just sounds weird).
Stopped by and took some pics at Corliss, then headed to Margie's, had cake, shot a little pool, chat with the girls, and then headed to Belltown. Margie got pretty drunk (so entertaining) and good times were had all around.
Work has been rather busy, so that keeps my days/early evenings occupied. And while it may not seem like I've been doing much lately, I've been surprisingly busy. Or at the very least, quite occupied. My social calendar is quite full, and it's a bit of a change, esp after a slow(er) December.
Last night we went out for Lynn's 22 a.k.a. "Halfway to 44" at Dante's. Quite a few people showed up and it was grood. I guess I'm Lynn's best friend and she loves me a lot. Through the course of the night I think I heard those two phrases, including "Jess, you're the best" at least 50 times.
Lynn got wasted, threw up in Brad's car (thank God I found a plastic bag, otherwise...bad news bears), and I took care of her at their apt. She passed out on the floor, so I proceeded to be the in house dealer for the UPS poker night.
Rowena has somehow managed to rope me into planning the HNA c/o 2001 5 year class reunion. Yeah, 5 year reunion. Apparently HNA has them, as strange as that sounds.
And since I started this post 3 days ago, as of YESTERDAY, the Seattle Seahawks are NFC champions!!!
WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!
I just can't believe it. I don't really think that it's quite sunk in yet, but man, February 5, 2006 is going to be a day to remember.
After being one of 6(?) teams to have NEVER gone to the Superbowl, in addition to having little to no respect in the NFL and not winning a playoff game since 1984, we are finally getting the chance to prove ourselves in the big game.
I don't have much of a voice after yesterday's game, but it's fan-freakin-tabulous.
All I have left to say is...
GO HAWKS!!!!
P.S. I can't believe Kobe scored 81 points. Ridiculous. Amazing, but ridiculous.
