Congrats on the historic 6th win of the Tour de France!

Damnit.

I had a nice recap-esque post done on Saturday and then my browser crapped out on me.  So now here I am trying to capture the excitement that was my week-long trip to Chicago. ;)

Mr. Jared Eyer and I were supposed to catch a red-eye out from SEA-TAC at 12:15am PDT Saturday, July 17, 2004.  Unfortunately the plane was delayed about an hour.  So we got into Chicago (Midway -- it's cheaper than going through O'Hare) around 6:30am CDT.  Fun stuff, I know.  I had been up since about 11am or so PDT and didn't go to sleep until somwhere around 4am CDT.  So I was up for little more than a day...

It was a pretty busy week and I had a wonderful time.

Ms. Alicia Medina met up with us in Chicago and spent part of Saturday and Sunday with us.  Hadn't seen her in awhile, so that was much fun.

Uh...we got a quick driving tour of Chicago, met most of Ms. Nell Voss' friends (don't ask me why I'm writing full names...I'm tired, leave me alone), saw the Cubs vs. the Cards, went to the beach, saw Anchorman, Fahrenheit 9/11, had a couple bbqs, drank, went to Benfest and saw an awesome band named http://www.funkadesi.com/ Funkadesi, went to some parties, met Nell's co-workers at a work party, went to the Art Institute and saw the Seurat exhibit http://www.artic.edu/aic/exhibitions/seurat/seurat.html, went downtown for high tea at the Four Seasons, shopped, ate at multiple diners, went to the John Hancock Tower and drinks at the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor http://chicago.citysearch.com/profile/3668426?cslink=search_name_noncust&ulink=search__searchslot1_520__0_profile_5_1, went to the Lincoln Park Zoo, played pool, went to a couple bars, had dinner at her mom's tea room, now turned into Bistro Campagne, met Tom Melvin (May's dad) who is an awesome muralist -- saw some of his works, hung out, did lots of crossword puzzles...yeah that about recaps most of it.

It was a busy week, but a very fun, entertaining, and pretty relaxing week.  I had a wonderful time and you al should go check out Chicago.

I was expecting it to be really hot in Chicago, but turns out that wasn't the case.  I think the weather was swapped between there and Seattle.  We pretty much just missed the heatwave, except for Saturday...the deck at Ray's was hot, but lotsa fun.

Got picked up from the airport by Jared's folks, went to Ray's for dinner, went home, sleep, work the next day, went to Silverdale today to visit Sunny and I got back maybe an hour ago.   Saw Casey, Josh, and Chelsie while there.  And now I'm off to bed and work tomorrow...

Hope everyone had an enjoyable week (I know I did).  Take care and have a wonderful day/night/afternoon/whatever. *muah*

Slide, baby, slide!!

Hehehe...I like this pic...

You were a great first baseman for us (except for you batting avg this year).

Olerud, it's sad to see you go...

I like the new changes to Blogger...

Leaving for Chicago tomorrow night at 12:15am...well, technically Saturday.

Catching a red-eye out from Sea-Tac and come back next Saturday, July 24th.

The 2004 All-Star Break was great.  Home Run Derby was fun, congrats to Tejada for beating out Lance Berkman.

Being able to watch (albeit on television) the 14 surviving members of the 500+ homer club was awesome.  Watching the older members commenting on the Derby was great.

I LOVE the American League!  So happy...although I couldn't believe that The Rocket gave up 6 runs (though 3 were unearned)...I, as many other people, were expecting a repeat of his first All-Star appearance.  Oh well...it was quite entertaining nonetheless.

Work's been pretty hectic as of late, so this trip to Chicago is going to be a wonderful break.  Maybe I'll even come back with a *gasp* TAN. ;)  We'll see how well that works out.

I Love the 90's is freakin' hilarious.  Kinda scary how they came out with it so quickly though...

I suppose congratulations are in order for Christine Posadas, her new baby, and husband (as of this Friday -- tomorrow the 16th)!

I've got Gmail! =D

Alright, back to packing.  Take care everyone!  *MUAH*

Ok, so it's been a long time since I last posted...and this is gonna be a long one.

A recap is what I shall provide...

When I get drunk my voice goes about 2 octaves above where it should be and I get really breathy...it's funny. People kept laughing at me...I dunno if that's a good or bad thing...

Saturday was great. I had a wonderful time and didn't get sick and didn't throw up (exactly what I wanted to happen).

Started drinking at 7pm at my cousin Julie's and JoJo, Casey, Sunny, Mitch, Jenny, Kairu, Cora, and Sweetie were there to participate in the fun. I got really tired around 9:30pm or so...kept dosing off and Sunny would keep hitting my leg to keep me awake. So I tried to staye awake (for the most part) but I was SO tired.

Good times at Julie, Sweetie, and Cora's (thanks again for having us over!!!) and we then headed over to Jillian's. Before we went to Jillian's, Jenny had to change her shirt...then we picked up Jared. Why did she have to change her shirt you might ask?

Well, while we were at the girls' apartment, Jenny literally burst out of her shirt as her side zipper popped. At the girls' we had good food, some strong drinks -- Julie, your shots are like 2 in 1! I had about 3 maybe...

Another Jenny related story: Casey was pretty bored, there were these round chocolates in a bowl, and Jenny's boobs about to say hi to everyone...so Casey started "Boobsketball." Kept chucking those chocolates into the cavern that's created by Jenny's breasts. And then everyone else started joining in the fun...I kept hitting her in the head in my drunken state. =P

I got a Sex on the Beach at Jillian's (my first legal drink!), watched people play pool, danced a bit, and entertained everyone being the drunk that I was.

I only felt like throwing up once, and that was at the very end of the night after about 8 drinks over the course of the night when Mitch made me chug my Sex on the Beach...which by that time had turned into Sex in the Water cuz the ice melted...and that wasn't so great as I was left with a watery drink.

Spent the night at Kairu's and recuperated there.

Sunday Sunday Sunday (June 27th):

Woke up at Kairu's, watched some Food Network, had pancakes, eggs, and bacon...mmm mmm good.

My birthday was good. Except for the last hour of awakeness...

Dinner at Jade Garden with about 50 people...it was fun! I'm so glad everyone came!!!

Then my mom dropped us (Josh, Jeremy, Trent, Kevin, and myself) off at the Irish Emigrant and Jenny, Sunny, Mitch, Jared, Cassie, and Lisa met up with us there.

Cassie and Lisa left, and the rest of us headed to Earl's. Then Finn's, then the College Inn.

Finn's was super busy (half price drink night on Sundays!) so we didn't get anything there...in and out the door.

I had about 11 shots/drinks over the course of the night. So not good.

Margarita, some wine, and champagne at dinner. A long island ice tea and a shellageah(?) which was a shot of Bailey's and Irish whiskey at the Emigrant -- plus a free t-shirt since it was my birthday! A VERY stiff fuzzy navel at Earl's, and an Irish Car Bomb at the Inn. Plus some of Sunny's gin and tonic.

I was so wasted. Completely drunk.

I didn't feel so good and ended up throwing up twice. Once on the floor in the bathroom at the College Inn, and once at home. Gross...

Woke up at 6am after going to bed around 2 or 3am with a hangover and couldn't go back to sleep. But the headache stopped around 8 or 9am, so that was good. Unfortunately my stomach wasn't as lucky as my head. It didn't feel so hot all that day.

No more alcohol for this girl...at least for awhile...we'll see how that goes.

Alright, so the above line said that I wasn't going to drink for awhile...not so true. I've been having sips of drinks here and there, but my body hasn't really enjoyed that much.

Work has been terribly busy lately, so I really have no time for a social life. I've been running around here there and everywhere the past two weeks -- the last 2 days in particular. It was time for the annual blind cleaning, so I went to all the units twice with the cleaners knocking on doors, opening doors, talking to tenants, waiting for them to take the blinds out, clean them, and put them back in. I put in 9 hours straight of running back and forth between all 3 buildings yesterday. Not so much fun. My feet hurt.

Went on Christina's 21 run after sushi dinner at my house with my family, Sunny, Mitch, and Kairu. She got drunk and yeah.

My cousins came for a bit, then left for HK, and are coming back on August 2nd. My other cousin Katarina (their older sister) is here in Seattle for the summer as an intern at Microsoft.

July 4th was spent at home with a wonderful BBQ and then we headed over to Julie's to watch the fireworks on Lake Union since her deck faces the barge. They were awesome. I haven't seen fireworks that close in a long time. Hung out with people I haven't seen in awhile (her friends) and that as good.

Leaving in 9 (technically 10) days for Chicago as Jared and I will be catching a redeye to visit Nell.

Been to a few Mariners games lately and well...we haven't been doing so hot. Hopefully we'll be doing better after the All-Star Break. HOPEFULLY. I'm still shooting for .500, but so far we're .390. Sad, huh? 4th worst team in the Majors.

Anyone wanna watch some movies with me? Cuz I sure wanna catch some...such as Spiderman 2 and King Arthur...and Bourne Supremacy (but that doesn't open til July 30).

Anyway, that's enough talk. Take care and enjoy the schizo weather we're having! *muah*
