HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!!! or GUNG HEI FAT CHOI!!!!!! (whichever you prefer)

Well, today is more food. And more food. And more food.

Get to wear all new clothes -- as tradition mandates...damn! ;) More hanging out with the family...hopefully we don't have to cook for another 33 people tonight...maybe just 20 or something. That'd be a nice change...

So I'm finishing my SIS application and will turn it in tomorrow...SCARY! If I get in, I'll double degree and prolly graduate in 5 years, since I'm done with Art History. Whew!

Got my first paper due on Tuesday in the SIS/ENVR/SMA class I'm in...it sure is offered under a lot of programs. It's 4-5 pages and is worth 10 points. 10 points!!! WTF?! Oh well...I'll prolly be writing it on coffee or fruit or something...we'll see.

That's all for now...food preparation and eating here I come! Have a wonderful New Year! It's the Year of the Monkey! =D

|

Well today's Chinese New Year's Eve and thus much preparation was undertaken for the feeding of about 33 people at my house tonight. Scary.

Went to bed around 6am this morning, class at 11am, sleep after I came back, then go to Crossroads to get my new glasses. Come back home around 4pm or so and cooked til we ate at 7pm. In-freakin-sane.

Lotsa people over which was nice...and not at the same time...

Went to pick Katarina up from the Marriott in Bellevue so she could hang out with the fam for a bit before her Microsoft interview tomorrow, then droppped her back off.

Now I'm tired and it's really only 12:30am. Sad. Anyway, time for bed...or else more reading for Root Causes of Environmental Degradation in the Topics and working on that darn SIS application. Crap...gotta turn it in on Friday so I'd better hurry my ass up on that. Alright...more eating with the fam over the next few days. That's all for now. *muah*

Penguins and the Snow Beast? Way too entertaining for me...blame it on the Webbs...323.4 is my best so far! ;)

Well hello there!

Sunday went to Canadia...and got a haircut that I'm really not very fond of. It looked absolutely terrible when I first saw it. I'd say that about 1/2 to 3/4 of the hair that I had is now gone. It'll take awhile for it all to grow back. I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad had it been cut a little longer and not so short...bleh. Oh well...

Lotsa food and food and more food while in Richmond, B.C. And bought food to bring back too...hehehe...yay! ;)

Yesterday was dinner and a movie with Jarf...went to Cheescake Factory and saw Big Fish, which was quite good, I must say...9 outta 10 big fish! Then got a toffee nut latte at Starbucks where we ran into Trisha and her friend Molly, drove around -- driving around is always theraputic for me, and went back to his apt where we sat around talking for awhile...talked to Jeremy and Trent for a bit too.

Today didn't do anything but sleep, really.

Just finished watching the State of the Union and now am listening to the Democratic responses. We just gotta get Bush outta the White House...

Went to Jared's on Thursday...Starbucks, dinner, waiting to watch The Emperor's Club...so I watched a bunch of Must See TV instead and hung out with the boys...good times, good times...finally got home at like 3:30am though...ack. A bit too late for me....I was quite tired at the end of the night.

Friday (yesterday) went to dinner at Red Robin with Karina, Jason, Marlon, Cindy, Candace, and Patrick. Then we went and saw Along Came Polly which was quite enjoyable. Funny...good times...funny movie.

Went to bed WAAAAAAAY too late last night...err...morning...

Work today and dinner in about half an hour...

Canadia tomorrow and more work on Monday. Whoopity-doo for me! =P

Have a wonderful weekend!

Chinese New Year's comin' round the bend, so we're all getting ready for the multiple dinners and get togethers that will happen over the next 2 weeks...dinner Saturday, Richmond on Sunday, dinner dinner dinner....lotsa family gatherings over the next couple weeks! Eek!

And I'm tired, so I'm off...to bed, that is. Night all!

Saturday, January 10, 2004

Well, really didn't do anything today...which was quite nice.

Took Jarf to the ferry, came back, picked up Derek, went to Erin's at 6:30pm for dinner and hanging out with Sean, Erin, Sarah, and (later) Dave. Hung out for a bit and watched some Family Guy. Dinner was good, then went to Target to get 5 decks of cards so that we could play Shanghai Rummy...game took freakin' forever and we didn't even finish it when we left at 2am!!!! Jeez...

My thumb's a bit sore from shuffling those damn cards...but the game was fun, even though it freakin' lasted like 4 hours...and we still didn't finish...wow. That's special.

Finally got Phase 10 at Target, as well as Pretty Woman on DVD...hehehe...

And now here I am, needing sleep...gotta work tomorrow...err...later at 12pm, so I'll be getting up in about 7 hours. Crap. Night all! *muah*

Well, walking in the slush was much better today than it was yesterday...

The snow hasn't entirely melted away yet, but it's all good...we need more Snow Days.

Had my first Root Causes of Environmental Degradation in the Tropics class today. My first impression of the prof through email wasn't the best, but after going to class today, he sounds pretty cool. Class should be quite interesting and prove to be very informative.

Met some girl at the Bookstore last night who wanted to buy my "Worlds Together, Worlds Apart" book so I gave her my number, she gave me her friend's since she doesn't have a phone, and then I figured I'd give her the book and she'd give me my $35 for it later that night. Not so. So I get a voicemail this morning at 8:30am (freakin'-a, children, this girl [me] does not like to be woken up before 10am!! -- I heard the phone ring, said screw it, and went back to sleep) and she says that her friend wasn't at home with her when I called last night or something. Whatever, dude...you coulda at least called me...not like there aren't payphones in the vicinity of 22nd, or another friend with a cell...Sheesh...so I'm gonna call her in a bit to see if she wants to come pick it up.

Anyway...going over to Jared's tonight for dinner and a movie, we'll be watching Spirited Away, one of Miyazaki's finest, I must say. Although My Neighbor Totoro and Castle in the Sky are prolly my favorites...damn good anime! I'm so glad that Disney put them out on DVD...although I'm not so sure if I like the fact that Disney purchased the rights to them...hmm...

Uh, that's about all I have planned for now. Only have one class tomorrow and then I'm free after 12:30pm, so if anyone wants to do anything, give me a call!

Welcome back to Seattle, Greg! (Later tonight...) =P

Be good! *Muah*

Snow so totally rocks!! No class today for me!!! Woohoo!!!! If anyone wants to go outside and play, give me a call! *MUAH*

|

SNOW DAY SNOW DAY!!!!

It's about damn time, I say!! My class is at 1:30pm and I'm debating whether or not I want to go to it...hmm...stupid UW. Anyway, back to bed or bumming around for a couple hours, will wake up and see how it looks outside and make the final decision.

ENJOY THE SNOW EVERYONE!!!! =D

Oh, and if anyone wants to have a snowball fight in the Quad, I'm totally down. Call me!!

So school starts in about 9 hours for me...

I'll be taking Northern Renaissance Art, Italian Renaissance Sculpture, and Environmental Degredation in the Tropics. Should be pretty interesting...taking it easy this quarter with 3 classes totaling 13 credits...ack. Hopefully it'll be good for me. Fewer things to think about and stuff...yeah...

Back in the apartment now after work, dinner at home, getting the coins, and going over to the boys' place. Sleepy time...clean up will resume tomorrow after classes. Night all!

Hope your quarter goes well! *muah*

Ok, so we didn't end up going to Portland today seeing as how chains are required on I-5 from Vancouver, WA onward...

Instead, I ended up sleeping practically the entire day away since I ended up going to bed around 5am and woke up about 40 minutes later with insane pain in my left arm...no, not signs of a heart attack...just tennis elbow coming back to haunt me. Stupid crap. Stayed up for a couple hours watching TV, took some Advil, and went back to bed. Kept waking up like every 2 hours and thus did not get the best night's/day's sleep...

Went to Agnes' house for dinner and now back at home.

Turns out Todd and Amy are getting married on Saturday and Patrick didn't even tell me about it til today! He found out near the end of finals week and didn't ask me if I wanted to go with him til today...silly boy. I would go, but I have to work from 12-4pm on Saturday, so I can't.

Will prolly play some cards with the cousins and my brother soon...even though it's 11pm. Whatever, whatever, I do what I want... ;)

Take care, enjoy the snow (it's sticking at my house!), and be good! *MUAH*

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Tonight went to Roni and Al's house, good times, played Phase 10 for the first time, and it was quite fun! =D

Tomorrow we're off to Portland and then get back on Friday...prolly sometime late Friday night. Work Saturday and Sunday, then back to school on Monday...oh goodness...alright, that's about it for now, will post more later.

Have a wonderful end of break everyone!! *MUAH*
