I got so wasted last night.

More info later. I still don't feel so hot.

My tummy is upset with me.

Hehehe...Oh yeah The Daily Quickie...

|

Dodgeball has got to be one of the FUNNIEST movies I have seen in a long time. If you're going to watch it, stay til the end of the credits. You'll thank me, I promise.

10 outta 10 milkshakes. ;)

I *heart* ESPN Page2.

I also *heart* The Ocho.

Man today's loss was killer. 18 innings.

My birthday's soon!

Saturday night at midnight we're hitting up the bars, so if you're 21+ and would like to join the festivities, gimme a call, email, or comment!

Sunday (for all ages) my family would like to treat myself and friends to my birthday dinner in Chinatown. So (again) if anyone would like to come along, please email, call, or comment.

Dinner'll be around 6 or 7pm since I know people have summer school (not to mention the fact that that's about the normal time my family eats dinner anyway).

It'll prolly be over by 8 or 9pm.

After dinner (hopefully I'm not too wasted) I would like to go out since it is the day of my birth. ;) So if anyone's interested in doing that and can't make it on Saturday (or just wanna come with me 2 nights in a row), call, email, or comment.

Work then dinner at Gorditos (if it's open), then Dodgeball.

Friday I'm heading out to the Dale to visit Sunny and whoever else is there.

And my weekend plans are known.

Monday going to the M's game against Texas (maybe we won't get swept this time) with JoJo, Jonathan, and Jonathan. =)

Have a wonderful day!

Countdown to 21: 4 days!!!

Hehehe...some more Bocachica fun!

|

Go Jaime!!! He had the first hit in Interleague play for the Mariners with 2 RBIs! And he's a pitcher! And he's 41! Go figure...

|

Hehehe...go Bocachica! (This was the run driven in by Borders...I posted Borders' hit last time around).

|

Oh Freddy...you're an awesome pitcher. We need to get some run support behind you though...

|

Oh boy!

Well, not really. This week hasn't been particularly eventful.

Monday night went to the Red Robin in Southcenter for Emily's bday dinner...HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY EMILY!! Then Candace and I went to B&N for some book shopping fun. Back to her apt and talked with Karina and Marlon a bit, then home.

Oh yes. Stupid liquor store down next to QFC in the Village. So Candace and I went in thinking that we'd get Emily something for her birthday. So we picked out about 6 of the mini bottles of alcohol. So since Candace is 21, she'd buy and I'd just stand there. But no....

Turns out everyone in there needs to show their ID and I told the guy I didn't have mine with me. So he said he that we couldn't buy. So we said we didn't know and he said that there's a sign on the door. Well, I'm sorry, but like most people, I don't pay attention to the signs on the door unless I'm looking for something specific. So I asked him if I went outside would it be alright for her to buy the bottles...NO. So then Candace asked if we both went outside and if she was the only one to go in could she buy the bottles. And the answer was...NO.

We were both frustrated and left immediately. So then I took her to the one on 12th and she bought the little bottles while I stayed in the car. 13 measly days. 13 days!! What if I really was 21 and just didn't have my ID with me?! Sigh...oh well. He was just doing his job, but man...that's never happened to me before! Especially at that place. Maybe they're under more scrutiny now or something.

But we got the bottles for her and gave her those as well as a box of wine Candace got from Roma. It was good. After the frustration and annoyance, that is.

Worked until 8pm on Tuesday and...nothing exciting there.

Wednesday...I don't think anything exciting really happened that night either. Wow, you must really be bored or not have anything to do if you're reading this...

Been apartment watching for Sean and Erin -- watering the plants, turning lights on, borrowing DVDs of theirs...

Yesterday (Thursday) the fam came over for dinner and I made lasagne. Good times. Good food.

Today I kept trying to get in touch with Sunny over the phone, but well...that just didn't pan out so well. Since her cell was cancelled before she left for Ecuador, she doesn't have anyone's numbers anymore so she can't call people, not to mention the fact that the phone at her house only gets local phone service. So she can't call people with 206 numbers. Awesome.

So I've been trying to reach her for the past couple of days with fairly unsuccessful results. The best we've done so far is email since everytime I call her house no one's there or the line's busy. Oh well...

Picked up Candace, we went to QFC to get a cake, off to Karina's for a little get together wtih Patrick, Karina, Marlon, Cindy, Jason, Bethiel, Ashley, and AnJuli. I had a wonderful time. More great Taboo moments (we just love that game!) watched some tv and a Finding Nemo was on in the background. Good times.

Tomorrow is work...then no idea. Sunday is Fathers Day and we'll be having dim sum at Jade Garden at 10:30am, then I'm off to work at 12pm, then after work we'll most likely be having dinner somewhere.

Oh yeah, and Nate Rob's coming back!! Thank you God!

Alright, take care until the next post! *muah*

Good job, Borders...I was at this game!

|

Tag! You're out...

|

Went out with Candace on Tuesday (or was it Wednesday...) since she's back from Roma. Dinner at Cactus in Madison Park and watched The Day After Tomorrow. Not too bad...solely for entertainment purposes though...if you tried to think about plot and whatnot during the movie...just don't go. ;)

Thursday went downtown to the Cheesecake Factory and saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with Sean, Erin, Derek, and Jared. Mmm..good food and good movie. It didn't stick to the book as much as the first 2, left out some fairly big events, and switched the order a bit, but it fot the fundamentals of the book down. We even stayed til the end of the credits because (sometimes) they have extra stuff at the end of the credits...but they didn't this time. They did with Chamber of Secrets, but not this time around.

Took Derek back to the dorms and since Jared needed to get a book from him, we went inside...only to find...Ben and Karen in the room. It was a little awkward...thankfully we stayed a bit, for as Derek was checking his flight information, he found out that his ticket was for the 10th, not the 11th. Whoops...after some phone calls, everything was worked out. All this after one last fire drill in the dorms. Man, I do NOT miss living there.

Ended up getting home around 3am and didn't sleep until 5-something in the morning...it was getting light out and those damn birds were chirping away.

So Friday...woke up at 10:35am when I supposed to be at the dorms by 10:30am to take Derek to do last minute errands and head off to the airport. Awesome.

Thankfully it was ok that I showed up late as he and Ben were still working on their room and allowed him a little time to take a breather. So we ran the errands, got caught in some traffic, and made it to the airport by 12:35pm. His flight was at 1:30pm.

He made it onto the plane, I went home, and helped my mom clean the house some more before family/family friends came over for dinner.

Went to the M's game vs. the Montreal Expos with Candace, Karina, and Marlon. My uncle had tickets from his accountant. Section 116, Row 17, Seats 7-10. Right in foul territory. Nice seats on the first base line. Thank God we won here's a recap. I think I might have cried if we lost, cuz the Expos are the worst in the majors right now. We had 2 French-Canadian guys sitting behind us during the game...boo!! ;)

Went home, hung out with the fam, sleep, and now here I am at work.

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!!!

Saturday was dinner at Jade Garden with the fam in celebration of my cousin's graduation with a degree in EE.

Today...nothing special to report.

Tomorrow we're going down to the Southcenter Red Robin in celebration of Ms. Emily McKenzie's 21st birthday...hopefully everyone can make it!

I've officially begun apartment sitting/watching for Sean and Erin as they are in Hawaii. Bastards. Who wants to help me trash the place? Anyone...? ;)

14 days til my birthday...my cousins are getting me drunk on the 26th at midnight. Am I scared? Yes. =D

I just want to start out by saying that I love the Mariners.

Went to the first interleague game tonight vs. the Houston Astros and it was fantabulous.

After much calling around adn semi-frantically trying to find people to go with me to the game, Derek, Jared, and AnJuli came with me to watch the game in the wonderful coziness of the Diamond Club. ;) I'm so very glad you guys enjoyed our 5-0 shutout of the Astros! I mean, c'mon...did you really think I'd take people who don't like baseball? Unless I was really desperate...

Here's a quick recap of the game.

So pissed that the Rocket's pitching TOMORROW and not today, but that's ok. I'll just have to rush home and watch it on TV. Man what I wouldn't give for tickets to tomorrow's game...might be the last time we get to see him pitch live...oooo...See the game live tomorrow at 7:05pm on Fox Sports Net.

Work was pretty good today, as we celebrated Jeb's birthday with a cake from Cake House in Chinatown and about 5 million people coming to do business. Busy day.

Tomorrow and Wednesday work from 1:30pm-7pm (which kinda sucks, but oh well). But luckily I have Thursday and Friday off before going back to work on the weekend.

My grandparents are here from Hong Kong for...a couple months, at least...not entirely sure how long they're gonna be here for...but somewhere around there. They'll at least be here until my cousin gets married August 7th, that I know for sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN!!! (Yes I know it's a little belated...but better late than never, right?!)

My dad's doing better and seems to be in less pain, so that's a good thing. But come Thursday, he'll be put in a fiberglass cast, pulling his foot into a 90 degree angle. So that's not going to be very comfortable...gotta stretch the Achilles out though! Yikes.

Too bad Smarty Jones didn't win the Triple Crown! Woulda been awesome...but hey, the owners are gonna get more than enough outta the stud fees alone...hopefully the next TC winner will be in my lifetime (that's *hopefully* a lotta years to go, so...pretty good odds on that one, I'd say). =P

Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup and the Lakers LOST Game One. How awesome is that?! (Don't care too much about hockey, but man am I glad the Lakers lost!!) hehehe...

Alright, enough babble out of me. My throat hurts from the game (did I mention the fact that I love the Mariners and today was a wonderful game?) so I'm going to head off to bed...night all! *muah*

To those who still have finals/papers: GOOD LUCK!!

|

Three of my favorite Mariners...=D

|

As a rookie, Nageotte had a nice introduction as a major league starter. Pretty solid 6 innings pitched...still needs to work on a couple things, but overall...welcome to the big leagues!

|

Edgar is one of my all-time favorite M's...too bad he's not hitting like he should so far this season...

As of Thursday, June 3, 2004, my 3rd year of college was officially over.

I was quite lucky in my choice of classes this quarter as I didn't have class on Fridays, only had papers, and got done so early. It'll never happen again, that's for sure...

Made some good friends in my classes and this was probably one of the best quarters I have had thus far.

So now I'll be working ALL THE TIME, have time for a couple of vactions, and that'll pretty much be that. Work, sleep, helping my dad through physical therapy, and yeah.

My dad's surgery went well on Thursday but there was a surprise Dr. Williams (he's the orthopedic surgeon for the M's...how awesome is that?!) encountered. So we knew that my dad had completely torn his Achilles'...but the catch was that it actually separated from the bone. The fact that the tendon ripped off the bone is not unheard of, but is something rarely seen.

So now it's 8 weeks of being an invalid for my dad. One week in a splint, about a week or so in a cast, and the rest of the time he'll be wearing a boot and going through physical therapy. The Achilles is probably one of the worst thing that you can tear. You can bet that it'll be a fun summer for my dad...

My 21st birthday's on June 27th, so on the 26th, my cousins are going to take me to dinner and at midnight...we'll be hitting up the bars! Hehehe...I'm a tad scared...but it'll be fun. Hope I don't throw up. I don't want it to be like the Webbs' 21-run. Eek!

Hopefully Aimee and I can go the John Mayer concert at the White River Amphitheater on July 11th! July 17-24 Jared and I will be going to Chicago to visit Nell. While we're there we'll try and go to a Cubs game, and...no idea. We'll figure it out...soon...

August 22-29 I'll be going with my family to the Oregon Coast to hit up the beach and just relax and have fun. And hit up the Tillamook factory for some damn good ice cream and cheese! ;)

September 11 and 12 I'll be at the M's games versus Boston (so awesome!) so I'm definitely excited about that. Hopefully I can go back to Guatemala with Terry and Healing the Children. I had so much fun last year I definitely want to go back. Besides, I told the teachers at the Garbage Dump School that I'd be back!

You can count on the fact that I'll definitely be going to many many Mariners games this summer...as many as I can go to. I've already been to 5...let's try and hit the double digits.

I'm going to the game against Houston on Monday and I'm definitely excited -- too bad the Rocket's pitching on Tuesday. Damnit. Oh well.

For everyone who still has finals and papers to get through: GOOD LUCK! Hopefully we can all get together this summer and do...something...;)

Will Smarty Jones be the first undefeated Triple Crown champion since Seattle Slew? Not to mention 12th Triple Crown winner -- the last one was Affirmed in 1978. We'll find out at 2:30pm...

Carlos, Carlos, Carlos...you shoulda stayed in Seattle. Spiezio's been doing a wonderful job. Made 3 great plays in last night's game against the Bluejays.

|

Guardado is an awesome closer...wish we had more pitchers who did their jobs as well as he does his. Danny's been doing extremely well this year -- he's always been one of my favs. Olerud needs to step up...batting .269 is not up to par. Haven't hit the All-Star Break yet though. I'm optimistic.

Get my IHL grade back tomorrow, as well as the final paper. Man, Lorenz is awesome. Wonderful prof and I definately recommend him for another class. Shame that the fall qtr class he's teaching is for IS majors only.

Working on my final paper for HMJ and that's due Thursday, so...time's a ticking.

After Thursday, I am officially done with my 3rd year of college. And I'll be left with 26 credits to graduate with my BA in Art History. Eek...time flies when you're not really paying attention to school...=P

Jared and I will be making a trip out to Chicago in July to visit Ms. Nell Voss while she's at home and doesn't have to work. It shall be grand. We catch a red-eye on the 17th and come home on the 24th. I am definately excited.

My dad's getting surgery on his Achilles' tendon Thursday (he tore it when he fainted a few weeks ago) and it'll be 8 weeks of being an invalid and going through physical therapy. Not gonna be pretty...

I've been going to the M's games fairly regularly thus far, and it's been wonderful. I am just so grateful that my uncle got season tix! I've been to 5 games so far this season...with many more to come...

My grandparents are coming from Hong Kong on the 7th, so it's time to clean up the house! Gotta clear out my room so I can get out of their room, as mine has been used for storage and when I come home I stay in their room...what can I say...it's bigger and has digital cable. ;)

Since I have my paper due on Thursday, I've been accorded a week off of work and go back in on Saturday. At which point my summer schedule will need to be figured out. I've been there for about 2 years now...damn it's been a long time!

Good luck on finals and final papers, everyone!

P.S. There's a FASA-sponsered blood drive at the Law Building's parking lot tomorrow, so go out thereand help the community by giving blood! I would, but since I went to Guatemala last September, I'm not allowed to give blood for a year.
