Oh dear Lord, I'm going down the homestretch...

It's scary to think that this time next week, I will be done with my undergraduate career. These four years have flown by. It feels like yesterday that I was a young little freshman trying to find my way around campus.

Now here I am, almost a college graduate.

It's a surreal feeling, and one that I'm sure will hit me like a right hook from a boxer once I am done with finals.

I've been lucky to make so many wonderful friends. I've taken some really interesting classes, met some -- interesting -- people, and shenanigans have most definitely ensued.

Friends! I am going to have a BBQ at my house on June 11, 2005 after Commencement. Food, drinks, laughs, and good times will be had. You're all invited, and I'll send out more details later.

So far my summer looks like this:

June: UW Commencement. Possible trip to Hong Kong and India. My 22nd birthday.

July: Possible trip to Europa for 2-3 weeks.

August: Oregon Coast with the fam. Boogie boarding, surf, sand, sun, food, and a nice relaxing time.

September: Honduras, Guatemala, and the Galapagos.

I'm housesitting my aunt's place for about a week or two...so if you wanna come keep me company, you're more than welcome to do so!

Back to my 2nd to last day of work...this is a bit of a surreal experience as well.

Poor Sonics.

Oh well, I thought we'd be out in Round 2 anyway. If only they played the entire game like they did in the 1st quarter, I'm sure we'd be in San Antonio right now.

Hopefully next year's team will do well...maybe...

M's aren't doing so hot at the moment. But I love them anyway. We still need to get some offense going, plus our pitching staff needs to step up.

Haven't been doing much lately.

I've pretty much been hanging around the house, looking after my sister.

I swear, the child is an alien.

Not only does she have an extra tooth, she has an extra tube leading from her kidney to her bladder, and she also has an adult sized bladder in her 8 year old body. She is so weird.

Poor girl's been getting quite a few medical procedures done...I do not envy her.

I can't wait to be done with school. Gotta address and send those Commencement announcements of mine.

Socialized, drank, and played some poker last night at the boys' last night. Good times were definately had. I went in with about $2 in change and came out with about $14. Sooooooo good!

Working is not that great, but here I am, "working" away.

On that note, I should (try to) hop to it. Take care, all!

School needs to be over as soon as humanly possible.

30 days til Commencement and I'm finally outta here for good. Unless I come back for further education...which will occur...I just don't know at what institution or when it'll occur.

Oh lordy.

Thank the Lord for more family blow-ups and drama concerning a special member. Before the aforementioned special person came back into the fold we (the fam) never had these issues. But once this person came back...it's become a regular, extremely unwanted occurrance. Respect level for this person = 0...it might even be in the negatives, if that's possible. I've tried, I really have. But everyone has a certain level of tolerance, and I consider myself to be a pretty tolerant person. But this person has made me supremely intolerant of them and their behavior.

I can't stand them. I am and always will be civil, but respect is earned, not an automatic given. While I respect the fact that this person is my elder, that is all they are getting. As a person...absolutely zero.

Moving on...

I'm still reading Citizen Soldiers: The U.S. Army from the Normandy Beaches to the Bulge to the Surrender of Germany by Stephen E. Ambrose. He's an amazing writer, and I'm a WWII nerd. Seriously...weird, huh? I'm about halfway done and reading about Christmas during the Bulge. Real interesting stuff, I tell ya. I even watch shows on the Military Channel, I'm such a WWII/war nerd. God, it's strange. Just another one of my quirks, I suppose. ;)

Julie, Cora, and Sweetie are moving real close to our house from the apt they have in Queen Anne. That place had an amazing view. Perfect for 4th of July and the Lake Union fireworks. But their landlady is crazy and they want more space. So now they're gonna be on 80th and 5th. About 2 miles away from us, so I'm sure I'll be over there a lot.

I have had the affliction known as "Senioritis" for about the last 5-6 years of my life. But it's worse than it's ever been this year. I'm rounding the corner of my last quarter as an undergraduate. Fantabulous.

Does anyone know of any good Spanish language tapes/cds? I need to pick some up and refresh my Spanish. That or take a summer course, but I dunno how much time I'll have for that, since I don't have any definitive summer plans.

I think I might volunteer for the rest of my life. That'd be fun.

Happy May Day!

So my family's crazy.

Last weekend my uncle twisted his ankle playing golf with my sister.

On Friday, my dad fell on his back playing pickle ball and now has a sore back and hip.

Last night, my cousin fell down the steps at my uncle's house and has a sprained ankle.

I've been spending a lot of time in the hospital lately...

And my other uncle has to be out of his old house and into his new one by 5pm today. I wonder if that's gonna happen...

Two midterms tomorrow (how exciting), and two M's games in a row.

I heart baseball.

Dante's and the Emigrant were fun Thursday night! Thanks to Alex London Wright and Ms. Jill for the beer. Chunk, glad you came out! It was a good night.

Family Guy is back!! FOX tonight at 9pm. Be there...or I'll send Quagmire after you!

I don't have any definitive plans after graduation as of yet.

I'll might work as a seasonal full-time employee at Holland America Cruise Lines during the summer. In August we'll be taking the annual Au Family Trip to the Beach. Oregon Coast, of course. In September (if it all works out) I'll be in Central America, and after that...no idea.

I've gotta brush up on my Spanish. Anyone wanna practice with me? ;)

Sonics are up 2-1 in the series against the Kings. GO SONICS!!!

Mariners are doing well. Hovering right around .500 most of the season thus far, which is great.

Work is work, and I'm done working here at the end of the month. I've still got a box full of business cards. Anybody want one?

I think it's gonna be a long day...it's a little past 3pm and I feel like I've been at work for 5 hours. Not a good sign, I tell ya.

I can't wait for school to be over. T-Minus 42 days until Commencement!! It's so exciting! Yet a little scary at the same time.

We're growing up! I'm gonna have to enter the "real world" and become a responsible, mature adult. It hasn't felt like 4 years of college have gone by, but they've gone, and here I am, a few midterms, papers, and finals away from being a certified college graduate. The first female of my generation from my dad's side of the family. Oh the pressure...the fam's really pushing for me to get my MBA or go to law school so that I can handle my aunts' finances. Mmm...that's not gonna happen for at least a year.

And now I just got a new job offer...I've gotten 2 so far...will I get more?
