So I've obviously been back from Alaska for almost a week...just haven't really had the time to blog.

The cruise was fun and pretty relaxing. Coulda done without 4 teenage boys though...wanted to throttle them at times, but hey...it's all good...what can you expect, anyway? They're teenage boys. Meh.

Sunday was Mr. Casey Sullivan's going away party. He's leaving all of us at the UW for Cedarville in Ohio to study business and play soccer. We'll miss ya Case! Take care and keep in touch! =)

Uh...basically been working the entire time. Yesterday got off of work a little early so I could get home by 4pm and head on up to Richmond for dinner. Yup. We do that...drive up to Richmond, B.C. for dinner. Oy...got back around 12:45am and I had to wake up early to go to work this morning. UGH. Not so much fun, I tell ya. Walked all around campus to post flyers for the apts...HUB, Health Sciences, SCC...it was interesting.

After work, I picked up Sunny downtown, drove around for a bit, then headed on over to Thaiger Room on the Ave for a spot of dinner with Becca and Carson...good times, good times...talked about Europe and the usual everyday chit chat. Haven't seen Becca in a while, so that was fun. =) Alright, that's about it for now cuz I'm damn tired and I wanna sleep...but I prolly won't. I'll prolly end up watching TV, a movie, or surfing the net. Hehehe...anyway, have a good one, and take care! *muah*

Disclaimer: This may be a random I'm pensive and gonna talk to you that way email. You've been warned. ;)

As the subject implies...summer's not horrible, but I just wish it was different. I think I'm in this random pensive mood today. No idea as to why...well, kinda...there are just so many things going on and my brain is just dying. (At least, it sure feels that way). When I got off work today, I just felt like driving forever and seeing where it took me. I think I need to get away. Quick. Hopefully something happens and either we go on the cruise to Alaska or my uncle was talking about chartering a boat to the San Juans for about a week. Yeah, I really think that I need to get away. UGH.

Working 6 days a week is beginning to take its toll, I think. That and most of the people I'm closest to are currently gone...as in...not anywhere near Seattle. Austine's in Hanover for her Sophomore summer, Candace's in L.A. with her family, Sunny's still roaming Europe, and Jared's in Copenhagen...and Kairu's currently "away" on MSN Messenger, so I can't talk to her at the moment, so it's all gonna be spilled on guess who? YOU! Yay, you are the "lucky" winner today! ;) *sigh* hehehe...

Ok, so now I'm continuing this the day after I wrote that...I think that the monotony of life is getting to me at the moment. All life is is work work work, come home, sleep, and work some more. I mean, working 6 days a week really gets to you. And it doesn't help that I've got to worry about how I'm gonna pay for my apt next yer. I mean, I've been working up a budget for my uncle to see...my impression is that he wants to see it, then he'll agree to pay for it and show my aunt. Then that'd be covered, but damn, it's a lot of money. And if I'm gonna go to Rome...there's another $7,000. So yeah...hopefully everything works out so I don't have to think about it anymore and know that it's all gonna be taken care of.

Well there's the money thing, feeling like I'm in a rut, and I'm a little worried about this whole thyroid thing going on. Hopefully nothing, but I still need to go back and get some bloodwork done. Ugh...well, at least all my other results came back fine. I'm in excellent health except for the low thyroid count. But my Dr. said that might just be a random thing...apparently it's pretty common in young women. *BLEH* And yes, I did get a pelvic exam, had all the fun base line stuff except for a mammogram...*THANK GOD*...I was not in the mood to have my breasts squashed between two plates.

So yeah...too many thoughts running through my head. I do still feel like I just wanna hop in my car and keep driving, not knowing where the road will take me. I might be in need of a roadtrip...but I don't have time for that. Ugh.

Oh yeah, so I found out earlier today (Friday) that we're going on the cruise to Alaska now...and it leaves TOMORROW. Sweeeeeeet...I'm excited. I love cruises, and Alaska is beautiful, os it should be fun. Yay for family vacations! ;) Oh yeah...and I'm gonna watch Bad Boys II with Chunk and E.Ho tonight. I'm excited. At first, we were gonna do dinner & a movie, (Olive Garden) but turns out I have to go to dinner with the fam at I Love Sushi (damn. hehehe ;)) since my uncle and his fam are here from Toronto (oooooo...SARS!) and they're going on the cruise with us too. So tonight is gonna be busy. But good busy. If that made any sense at all... =P

So far this summer I've seen like 2 movies. Charlie's Angels and Pirates. And then tonight BBII. And I STILL haven't seen The Pianist (I bought the DVD maybe a week ago). I watched some of the bonus material though. It looks really good but quite sad. I can't wait to actually watch it. Alright then, that's about it from me. Gotta start packing for my trip. Will update when I come back next week! Have a wonderful week! *MUAH* ;)

AMERICAN LEAGUE RULES!!!

Ahhh...the joyous victory of the American League in the ever-so-wonderful midsummer classic. I love the All-Star Game. =D Who doesn't?! ;) M's represented with 5 players...woohoo! Congrats to Edgar, Jamie, Shiggy, Boone, and Ichiro! Great job guys! Like they'd ever be reading my blog anyway...heehee...I love my M's! (Leading the AL 58-35).

In other (not so exciting news) I've started Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter #5). Pretty good so far...a lot darker but that's to be expected.

Might get a new phone...woohoo! No more crappy joystick! Here's a pic. Well, that's about it for now. Have a good one!

Interesting...

So tired....

Apparently my lab results came back and everything's normal but I have a low thyroid count so I have to go back and get some more blood tests done. Whoopity do. Hopefully everything's ok, or else I'll have to go see an endocrinologist or something like that...we'll see what happens.

Had Brian & Marisa's engagement party yesterday, which was fun. Good times, good times. Her family seems really nice and they're getting married next year on August 7th. Anyway, extra short update this time, cuz I don't have much to say. So that's it for now! Have a good one.

P.S. How much does this cost? = Hvor meget koster den her?

Be warned, this link is quite...nasty nasty nasty... (think Discovery Channel). ;)

DISCLAIMER: Do not read this section of my blog if you are uncomfortable with any mention of female genitalia, doctors, shots, or exams. You have been warned...proceed if you dare. (This is to act as a completely "informative guide" for those interested -- specifically women who don't really know what to expect, Lord knows I had a vague idea but nothing concrete -- not as some sick perverted voyeurism.)

Well, I've been up since about 7am this fine morning because I had my yearly physical/first base line test this morning at 8:30am. Too freakin' early, if you ask me. So I'm a little nervous cuz this'll be the first time that I've had a base line which includes (but does not require) mammogram (didn't have that today, thank God -- I am not in the mood to have my breasts flattened between some machine), pap smear/pelvic exam (check), breast exam (check), and that's about it concerning that part of the check up. The links give you a good idea of what to expect and nothing hurts (although the mammogram might -- prolly will, I still have no idea how that feels) =P, evrything just feels a little weird and uncomfortable at first, but then you relax, get used to the situation, and are just like...whatever, I don't care. Initial hesitation was replaced with "oh, this isn't so bad." When I first got there, I was pretty nervous (not really knowing what to expect besides what I had heard and what my mom told me), but now that it's over and done with, it's no biggie. It's over pretty quickly (at first I thought it was gonna take like 2 hours -- my mom told me 30-45 mins -- but I was so nervous I was still thinking 2 hours), it happens once a year to once every 3 years, and I know what to expect for next time. =)

Had some blood drawn, got a tetanus booster, and a shot for typhoid fever since I'm going to Guatemala in September. Normally the tetanus shot hurts the most, but damn -- the typhoid hurt, and still does! Felt a bit nauseous and "listless" as the sheet of symptoms my doctor gave me said I might experience. Also got a prescription for antimalarial drugs. Overall a rather exciting (if one could call it that) day at the doctor's office which lasted oh, about an hour.

Next. (And now safe to read for all those uncomfortable with the aforementioned subjects). ;)

Since my appointment got over at 9:30am or so, and I didn't have to go to work until 12pm, I figured that I could prolly take a nap afterwards. Turns out my mom and I ended up going to QFC to fill out the various prescriptions Dr. Belcher filled. Got some coffee, had a doughnut, got the prescriptions, some milk, and went home. At home, I proceeded to read a couple more chapters of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (I'd only just begun reading the Harry Potter series last week for the FIRST time). Took a half-hour "resting my eyes" time (vs. nap time) and went to work. Came home, had dinner, chilled for a bit.

Then Karina, Marlon, Aimee, AnJuli, Cindy, Jason, and I went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl which, I thought, was quite funny and enjoyable! =) Fun movie, prolly pay matinee for it though. I liked it, Johnny Depp does a great job flouncing around, Geoffrey Rush is wonderful (as always), Orlando Bloom is just so hot 0=), Keira Knightley (previously seen in Bend it Like Beckham) does a fair job, and it's just plain fun overall. Hehe...one of those entertaining movies, if not rather cliche and corny at times. Don't even try to analyze this movie because you can't. All intellectually stimulating thoughts will prolly disappear from memory as you sit back, laugh, relax, and enjoy the show.

And now, here I am blogging away when I really should be sleeping. Time for bed, all. Have a good one and take care! *muah*

Yay for work! err...kinda sometimes not really...

Bought my plane tix to Guatemala yesterday. Woohoo!! Things are finally coming to fruition! (A little Ms. Mendez talk for all you HNA alums -- you know what I'm talking about!) ;) Not too much going on besides that. Just came back from a Costco run with the fam...good times, good times. hehe...Well, turns out we're not gonna go on a cruise to Alaska, since it's all booked. Soooo...no idea what I'm gonna do now. Maybe just take a week off from work (if they let me) and visit my friends on the other side of the water. Or something like that. I have no idea.

Going to Elliott's Oyster House tonight to celebrate my cousin's new job and also act as a farewell dinner to my aunt, who's going back to Hong Kong to help out my uncle with some business stuff. Should be good.

Oh yes, CONGRATULATIONS! To Brian and Marisa on their engagement! Woohoo!!

Here's my "current" itinerary to Guatemala:

1) Seattle, WA (SEA) to Houston/ George Bush, TX (IAH) on Sun., Sep. 14, 2003

2) Houston/ George Bush, TX (IAH) to Guatemala City GT (GUA) on Sun., Sep. 14, 2003

3) Spend the day in Antigua, check out the sights

4) Tikal Excursion for US $209

5) uh...volunteering, being a tourist, etc., etc., etc....

6) Guatemala City GT (GUA) to Houston/ George Bush, TX (IAH) on Fri., Sep. 26, 2003

7) Houston/ George Bush, TX (IAH) to Seattle, WA (SEA) on Fri., Sep. 26, 2003

And that's about all I know for now. Dinner time...have a good one! *muah*

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Yay for fireworks! Hope it's a fun, safe, and happy holiday for all those in the states!

Not too much going on the past couple days. Yesterday went to Bend it Like Beckham with Candace, AnJuli, Karina, and Aimee before Candace goes home to Cali to visit her fam. The movie was great, I highly recommend it...hangin' out with the girls is always wonderful!

BBQ with the fam today which was good, and now gonna watch the fireworks. That's it for now. Have a good one! *muah*

Not too much excitement going on this side of the world. Went to the M's game on Friday (my bday) with my mom, sis, and dad...we won!!!!! I was so happy! And as my mother proceeded to tell every Diamond Club employee that it was my bday, they went ahead and gave me a "Mariner's goodie bag." If I was a kid -- as in NOT 20 years old...more like 10 or something -- I would have been so excited. But seeing as how I am now officially 20, I just laughed. Got an autographed picture of...guess who...the MARINER MOOSE!!! Woot woot!! hahaha...got a visor, a moose pin, rear window sticker of "Viva La Mojo!," and some other goodies that had been given at previous M's games...that I, of course, had gone to. hehe...they meant well, and that's all that counts! ;) Went to I Love Sushi on Saturday and that was great...I love my family!

Went and saw Charlie's Angels Full Throttle Sunday with my old HNA girls...and Patrick, of course! ;) hehe...it was fun. We went to the Eastlake Azteca and they made me wear the sombrero, sang to me in Spanish, and took a polaroid. hehe...embarrassing, but fun at the same time. Hung around my cousins house for awhile and talked, which was fun. I haven't done anything like that with most of the gang in SOOOOO long. Great times. Thanks to Ina, Marlon, Emily, Kameron, Aimee, Candace, Patrick, AnJuli, and Bethiel for coming!! I love you guys!! And to Cindy, Angela, and Andrea -- thanks for calling!!! Wish you coulda been there! Ashley and the Christinas: you guys better make it to the next group event!! ;) I know y'all are busy folks...wish you guys coulda been there too! =)

OH MY GOD! So we finish watching Charlie's Angels and we go back to Pacific Place to get my car...we're waiting for my friend to come meet us where I'm parked, and as you know, it gets a bit stuffy in parking lots. So I push the button to roll down my window, and the front passenger seat window just DROPS INTO THE BODY OF THE DOOR. Freaked Candace, Bethiel, and me out so badly! So then I get out of the car and think that someone's tried to break into my car, go to security, call the police and file a report...whoopity do! >=(

Not fun, lemme tell ya. So then I call University VW yesterday and tell them what happened...apparently it hasn't been that uncommon in newer Jettas. WTF?! Anyway, the girl said that it should be covered under my warranty, and if my warranty is up, it should hopefully still be covered. *BLEH* So yeah...that proved to be an interesting experience. And now I'm driving the Lexus in the meantime, so hey...not too much room for complaint! 0=) hehehe...

Too much talking about me...wow, this blog is way longer than I had initially intended it to be. Whoops...oh well, you enjoy it. ;) I worked about 12 hours today...sucked ass...prolly had about 20 mins for a break total today. Not so much fun. Oh well. As the day has worn me out and you're prolly sick of reading this already, I will leave you to your own devices for entertainment purposes. Alright then, have a good one and I'll try to post more soon!

P.S. As I've decided to start sending Jared random phrases in Danish, I figured I might as well start posting them too! hehe...enjoy!

#1. Hvor er toilettet? = Where is the bathroom? Where is the toilet?

P.P.S. I just noticed that I had already posted stuff about the game and I Love Sushi...whoops...oh well. You like it! 0=)
