Ahh, weekend...it's supposed to be filled with good relaxing times, especially since it's been so nice out lately, but nooooooo....

Damn J. Warren to hell.

Well, Friday and Saturday were wonderfully good times. Days like those are what one is supposed to have on the weekend. Friday didn't do a whole lot...class, then to Cafe Zoe for some coffee and a bit of the SIS gang came and we discussed the questions for the take home midterm that's due tomorrow (more on that later). Then went to dinner at Teriyaki San on The Ave, hoofed it back to the dorms and chilled. When Derek came back we decided to go to the HUB and do a little bowling. So Sean, Jared, Derek, Scott, Paul, and myself went to the HUB where Nell eventually met up with us. For the record, I don't really like dealing with drunk people. And Nell was drunk...so that provided interesting forms of entertainment...=p Bowled, went back to the dorms, and hung out some more. Watched Sean play Sega GT on XBox, and yeah. At like 2something in the morning HBO had this really cool time-lapse documentary on about insects. It was fascinating, but everyone was tired so I took Nell home and went to bed.

Yesterday: Woke up, went to the Hi Spot Cafe in Madrona with Sean and Jared. Yum. Then took Sean back to the dorms and Jared and I were originally planning on going to the Cafe Lladro on 15th, but I went to get my car washed and after that, we decided that it wasn't worth it to go to Cap Hill if we only had a couple of hours before Kristina's surprise bday party on Alki. So we went back to the dorms and tried to get some work done there. Then Sean, Jared, and I picked up Sunny and made our way to West Seattle. Hung out in Starbucks for a bit then joined the group. Bonfire, pizza, scones, coke, people, the beach, and good company are a great combo. A group of prom-goers stopped where we were on Alki and this one girl had a dress that made her look like a cake. That or she was getting married. heehee...she was then known as "Cake Girl." ;) We were there for a few hours and then decided to leave. Everyone there but the four of us went to Kristina, Kristen, and Emily's apartment and had the alcoholic portion of the party. Dropped Sunny off, and the three of us went to Sean and Jared's room reeking of smoke (because of the bonfire!). Sat around and didn't really do anything. Boys played some Halo, Dreamcast, and then Derek and Paul joined them in playing Starcraft online. I sat there and read The New York Times Online and played Snood.

Today: Worked...sucked ass...and now I have that damn take-home midterm to do for SIS 202. Joy. J. Warren (the SIS 202 prof) can kiss my ass. 3 essays that're 2-3 pages long each. JOY! >=( I'm not a happy camper. Not to mention the fact that there's a family dinner tonight at 7pm. I'm gonna shoot myself. And I have a COM 202 midterm on Tuesday, and my PHYS 207 midterm Wednesday. God this week sucks ass. Oh well...enough distractions. Time to get on top of things. =(

Mmm...Gordito's is wonderful...thanks to Erin for giving us a ride! Sean, Erin, Derek, Jeremy, Jeff, and myself ended up going tonight. 'Twas fantastic. I'd just like to say that Jeff is my hero (of the moment). He ate an ENTIRE grande burrito (approx. 18"+) that's filled to the brim with all the trimmings. WOW. Jeremy got the same thing but he only ate half (I think he knows his limit). ;) Anyway, after the wondefully fattening experience, we got fatter. Went to B&R 31 for some jamoca almond fudge-y goodness...heehee...yum. =D

Went back to the dorms and were about to go into Sean's room when...lo and behold...he couldn't find his keys. At the time had no idea as to where they were so Sean called 4-DUTY so the RA on duty could let him in the room. After much searching (his room, Erin's car, etc.) turns out they were in Erin's purse. Whoops...none of us knew and hey, a girl's purse -- no matter how small -- is like a black hole/bottomless pit. After that, we played a few rounds of Worms on Dreamcast and chilled. Oh yes, since Jared and I are having a domestic dispute, Erin and I are going out (I don't think that Sean's in the picture at the moment). ;) And apparently I'm good in bed. LOL...I love my friends. Good times.

Ok, off to bed now. I've got a busy day ahead of me! Night all. *muah*

P.S. Sean, don't patronize me. Dork. =P
P.P.S. Webbs: do you want me to buy you some gas masks? heehee... ;)

Went to see an adviser yesterday at Mary Gates and she told me that I'm good to go so long as I declare a major by Fall Quarter 2003. *PHEW* I'm beginning to seriously consider SIS as my double major (degree?)...we'll see what happens. I have too many interests...=P Anyhoo -- goin' to Gorditos tonight with gang (Sean, Erin, Derek, the Webbs, Jeff...whoever else is coming...) to celebrate the end of Passover...Derek can eat bread again! woohoo! ;) (Jared, Nate, and Brian are going to the Pete Yorn concert tonight at the Paramount). Then we'll prolly be hanging out on the boys floor for awhile...that's about it for now...have a good one.

So I check my UW email the other day and what do I get? An email from the Office of the Registrar saying "The University's Undergraduate Satisfactory Progress Policy requires you to declare a major by the time you have earned 105 credits. Now that you have earned at least 90 credits, choosing and declaring a major must be your first academic priority." EEK!!!!! I would if I could, but the fact of the matter is that I have to apply to my majors first! *ugh* So I think that I'll make my way down to good 'ol Mary Gates and talk to one of those academic advisers...sigh...time to get crackin'. Holy Crap! I just checked DARS (Degree Audit Display) and it turns out that I've earned 98 credits and have 18 in progress!!!! AHHH!!!! That's more than I thought I had! Dear God...now I really need to get crackin'. Just when I thought everything was going pretty well...but no. =(

Anyway, haven't done a whole lot the past couple of days. Classes and sleep have been my main priorities. Watched the M's game tonight on TV...wonderful...almost gave me a heart attack but we ended up winning 8-4 on a grand salami (as Mr. My-Oh-My Dave Niehaus would put it). Wonderful...I was on the edge of my seat...err...the bed...as the game went on. Anyway, good game, and it was nice to see the boys. I hadn't seen them in like 5 days, and from what I hear, I was missed. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) ;) Apparently a "domestic dispute" between me and Jared was why I didn't really see them much, if at all. hahahaha...funny...=)

Alrighty then. Off to bed...tired I am. Night all!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!! Hope everyone had a great Easter...I know I did! Went to my grandma's house for food, family, friends, pinata, and of course, the Easter Egg Hunt! Good times. After that, went home and started cooking up our own feast for the rambunctious, nosey, sarcastic, food-loving, bunch that I call family. =) I love 'em. After food, food, mahjong, and more food, we watched Hero on VCD...gotta love Hong Kong and their amazingly cheap yet good quality reproductions of movies like this. It was really good...one of the best Chinese martial arts movies I've seen in awhile. I like it more than Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which was good, but not up to par with what I consider really good martial arts films. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed CTHD, but it isn't the best. Anyhoo -- I definately recommend Hero -- wonderful movie...cinematography is great and the fighting is wonderful... ;) after that, we watched Spirited Away which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film. Miyazaki definately deserved that award as well as many others. I started following his work since I was about 8 or 9 and have loved him ever since. Fantastic movie everyone should watch. One of his weirder ones, but I love it all the same.

Recap of the past week(ish): Friday took my 1st midterm of the quarter in AH 205...how exciting, eh? and found out that there is no deadline to apply for the Art History major. Thank God! That took a big load off my back. Then went to dinner at my aunt's house and watched the aforementioned Spirited Away and followed up by going to Karina, Candace, Abby, and Andrea's apartment to see Aimee who was back in town for Easter! Cindy, Jason, Patrick, Angela, and Harold were there too! ;) Good times...I love my girls (and guys)!

Saturday worked and went home. Today, you already know what happened today...err...Sunday. Since the comment boxes are gone...I think I might put the link to the forum back up...=P

Anyway, gotta get some sleep, so have a great night! Night all...

Friday, April 18, 2003

Well, allergies and sickness are getting better...but not really...I'm coughing more now, and that sure as hell isn't a fun thing. Lemme tell ya...NOT FUN. =P Sooo....went to ALL my classes today (SIS section got cancelled - but we didn't know that so we all passed a sign up sheet around for our TA and left!), and in the time that was supposed to be for SIS section, I spent in Suzzallo with Sunny and Becca. COM is really doing nothing for me right now. We only have lecture 2 times a week, but this damn class is putting me to sleep! My notes are haphazard and all over the freakin place. *sigh* This class better pick up the pace and get more interesting cuz so far, it's like a boring rendition of what I had last quarter. So hopefully everything works out with that. We'll see...I have a midterm tomorrow in Art History...hope I know what I'm talking about...eek! Side note: I took a 4/5 hour nap today...being sick takes a lot outta ya...

So Jared has an overactive imagination and he and Sean both have one-way, no return, non-refundable tickets to HELL. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with them... ;) heehee...all in good fun...although they better be careful...I can be rather devious if I deem necessary.

Prolly going home tomorrow, working on Saturday (bleh), and then celebrating Easter Sunday! Woohoo!! I love Easter. Anyway, that's about it for now...gotta finish reading AH stuff that I shoulda read earlier this week...oh well...PROCRASTINATORS RULE! ;p

Night all.

I would just like to say, for the record: I FOCKING HATE THESE DAMN FIRE ALARMS HAPPENING AROUND HERE AT MCCARTY!!!!!! *SIGH* The lights are still flashing around the halls and it's really annoying. I mean, c'mon people! Stop pulling the alarms! And stop hall sports in the halls!!!!! This is how this one happened...some retards were playing soccer, a kick went haywire, and hit a sprinkler on 3rd South...at least, that's the story for now. That's all.

|

I rule! New template, comment boxes, and a counter! I've completed all my goals! Woohoo!! ;)

What NOT to do at any event, especially when you're dealing with big ump Laz Diaz, and some big players(Mike Sweeney and Brandon Berger)...who could seriously kick your ass. Anyone see the highlights that were ALL OVER TV last night about this? Looked like Sweeney (nice quote there, bucko) punched the guy...or maybe that was just my imagination...running away with me... ;p

|

P.S. I think I'm getting sick...and I promise that it's NOT SARS!

|

Well, as you may or may not have noticed....I've changed the template, finally...sigh...thank God for that. The fruit was getting annoying. =P So yeah...haven't really done anything exciting as of late...did a little spring cleaning (my room looks so nice now)! Later went to The Old Spaghetti Factory with Erin, Sean, Jared, and Derek for dinner...mmm...lots of fun. Thanks to Erin for the ride and thanks to Sean for the slurpees from 7-11! You guys rock! =D Yeah, came back to the dorms, watched the M's game...heehee...kicked damn Oakland A's asses (5-3)!! I love my boys (The M's, of course!! Do you not notice the links...? ;))...and just hung out for awhile...good times.

Well, we had an interesting experience last night...around 1am or so, Sean goes to take a shower, but then comes back in with a black leather bag that he found in the study room that's right across from his and Jared's room. We figure it belongs to someone on the floor, specifically the potheads down the hall since it smells like smoke...anyway, Sean looks in the bag to see if there's any sort of ID so that we can give it back to the owner. Opens the front pocket and finds a bunch of condoms...nothing too out of the ordinary...we are in college, afterall... ;) and nothing but condoms there, so he looks in the main pocket and pulls out a checkbook...checks the name...and notices that there's more than one. Suspicious yet? We were...so he pulls out a few more checkbooks/balance ledgers, and lo and behold...they ALL have different names form different areas of the country. The Bourne Identity much? So yeah...obviously STOLEN, and he kept it and gave it to the front desk the next day.

But that's not all...

Today in my floor bathroom, I notice that my RA Yinlan (she rocks!) has put up a big long notice. And what does it say? Get this...that the bag we (well, Sean) found last night was full of stolen items, needles, heroin, other drugs, condoms, and the like! Thank God he didn't dig any deeper in that bag than he did!! *PHEW* We''ve had warnings about some guy going around MC2 late at night between the hours of 3am-7am going into rooms with the door unlocked and stealing the residents' stuff...good times, eh? Not so much...apparently the 11th robbery happened on Sunday night and some guy chased the klepto down the hall...scary. He even seems to derive some sick pleasure from staring at people while they're sleeping (boys and girls) and going to steal their stuff.

We've got undercover cops patrolling the halls at night in addition to the uniformed UWPD who make their rounds at night. Talked to 3rd North RA Alison tonight and apparently they've got this guy's schedule or something like that down...he supposedly works from the top floor down and they basically know when he comes around. And some girls on her floor know who this guy is since they see him trying to get in at the frats (and he supposedly has a new bike each time) dubbed "Junior" by them. He's a black male, 47 years old, 5'6", approx. 150/160lbs. with a moustache, black hair, brown eyes, and consistantly wears the same blue parka with faux fur lining. And now that he's lost his heroin and money...I just hope nothing crazy goes down here in the dorms. That would definately NOT be of the good... =/ But hopefully nothing serious happens and this guy gets caught.

Oh yeah...when I went to 3rd North, Alison (the RA) had posted signs on her floor and said that an "undercover cop" had found the bag in the study room...haha...Sean's an undercover cop now, in addition to being the GUTTER and Chunk the truck driver. *LOL* =D

Anyway, that's it for now...I've gotta get some sleep before class...night all!

I'm starting to get sick of the fruit template...I think I'm gonna be changing things up sometime...maybe today, maybe tomorrow...maybe this is all talk..;) Jeremy suggested that I include a counter on the site...I think that I just might do that...in addition to adding a comment box and changing the template around a bit. We'll see how that goes, seeing as how I'm not technologically inclined in the least - well, I can do the absolute minimum - so yeah.

Went to the Hi Spot Cafe in Madrona yesterday...mmm...so good...I haven't been there in 3 years or so. Long time...then went to Fremont to read, got tired of that scenery and proceeded to go to Volunteer Park instead, where there musta been a fundraiser or something at the SAAM. Saw this gay couple who looked like something outta The Matrix 'twas funny and gave me a laugh. FYI, I'm REALLY excited to go see The Matrix: Reloaded *hint hint* ;) Jared and I picked up Derek and went to dinner at Gordon Biersch and finally watched Chicago. About damn time, I say. It was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it! =D

Worked today, took Derek to QFC so that he could buy food for Passover...don't want that boy to starve...he's skinny enough as is. ;) And now I'm at my aunt's house updating my blog cuz I have nothing to do (here, that is - I have plenty of schoolwork that I should be doing, but I'm not...cuz I'm a procrastinator). PROCRASTINATORS UNITE! ;) heehee...anyway, that's about it for now. Have a good one!

Meh...

Well, instead of going to the Columbia Tower Club for dinner tonight, I went with my dad, uncle, and brother to the Mariners' game!!! WOOHOO!!!! Too bad we lost (3-0) against the Angels...damn them...=p but to make up for it, we were about 8 rows back from home plate in the Diamond Club, which was ridiculously fantabulous! =D I am extremely happy that I got to go!!!!! =D Yeah, went to the game, and came back, hung out and now I'm going to bed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!

Night all...

This quarter is going by so s-l-o-w-l-y compared to last quarter...oh well...all the more time to enjoy with friends and *hopefully* good weather! Mother Nature is seriously being schizo. But it's been getting better lately, so maybe she's making up her mind now...;) heehee... Anyway, haven't been doing a whole lot lately. Hanging out, reading for class (I am loving SIS so far and the others are all getting better as the weeks progress), but there has been a lack of sleep lately, not that I'm complaining...kinda...=P It's my own damn fault, but I'm a night owl, so yeah...whatever...random thoughts overflow...

Well, Monday was my grandpa's (uncle's dad's) cremation ceremony...sad. :'( He was 92 though, and we think he died of pneumonia and he died in his sleep and had a pretty good life, so yeah...still sucks though. Went to Wild Ginger after that where we know the kitchen manager/head chef cuz he used to work at my uncle's restaurant and he hasn't seen me since I was about my sister's age, so that was cool. My cousins and I think we saw Alanis Morissette there...another celebrity sighting! Woohoo! ;)

Nothing fantabulously exciting to report right now...my love life is still nonexistent per usual, and my friends (*ahem* Sunshine & Alicia *ahem*) have decided to "help" me in that department...eek! We'll see how that goes...I'm kinda scared...;) And there's a running joke that Jared and I are dating...silly people. Anyway, not up to a whole lot so there isn't much to post.

Going to the Columbia Tower Club tomorrow night for dinner, and then going to my aunt's house (scroll about 3/4 of the way down and you'll see a few pics) for my mom's bday celebration! My mom rocks. Then I think a few friends and I will be going out on Saturday to watch Chicago, at least, that's the plan...hopefully it'll pan out since we've been talking about watching it for a few months...ok, that's it for now. Have a great one! *MUAH*!

P.S. Added a few links...enjoy! And I'm gonna try and get that comment box thing up and running...maybe...we'll see how technologically inclined I am...(doesn't look promising, I tell ya!) =P

So I've been back to school for a couple days, this should prove to be an interesting quarter...

My AH 205 prof is so retardedly dry it's not even funny...hope he's a better lecturer than Monday's butchered attempt.
COM 202 should be good...turns out I happen to know quite a few people in that class and the prof seems really cool.
SIS 202: this is the class that I'm so very extremely excited about for this quarter. Should prove to be wonderful. *Hopefully* AND I don't have Seija as my TA! Though Jared does! Hahaha...I've got Perveen who seems so very cool. Becca's in section with me, and Sunny's got Chandni again but wants to switch into a different one, we'll see what happens...Mitch, Jenny, and Trisha all have Yuksel who seems very cool...dunno who the others in the SIS gang have though...heehee...
PHYS 207: I think this'll be challenging but lotsa fun at the same time, esp since Professor Chaloupka seems so cool! Woohoo!

By the way...JARED EYER IS A BIG BITCH.
Sean, are you on my team or not? Or are you just gonna play both sides of the field? ;)

On a sad note, the Mariners lost the first game of the season to those damn Oakland A's...bitches...oh well...Freddy hasn't been pitching so well, but hopefully he'll get better as the season progresses...Jamie Moyer tomorrow night against Zito (hmm...hope the offense rallies...), but it should be fantabulous. Dodgers suck! (That was just for you, Derek). =D

I love my friends. Happy happy joy joy happy happy joy joy happy happy joy joy joy!!! (An homage to the bygone days of Ren & Stimpy).

With that, I bid you all adieu, goodnight and I'll post more soon! =)
